Getting Involved and Helping Others Makes Us Happy!

The Children's Workshop is actively engaged in the communities we serve.  Our programs and centers reflect the unique needs of the communities they are in and our teachers and staff spend many hours of their free time at community events, performing community service, and giving back to those that have helped us over the past twenty years.

Our Current Community Initiatives include:

The Children's Workshop Foundation

The Children's Workshop Foundation, founded in 2011, operates with the mission of improving the lives of the children and families in the communities where The Children's Workshop schools are located. Visit our website to learn more about the work we do. The Children's Workshop is proud to sponsor the Children's Workshop Foundation's annual fundraiser, Comedy for Our Communities! TCW Mentoring Program

The Children's Workshop has partnered with Rhode Island Mentoring Partnership to form a Mentoring Program of our own.  Our mentors range from TCW teachers, directors, and Home Office staff to friends from our communities. They spend one hour per week mentoring a child one-on-one in the local school systems.  Our first mentoring site was established in 2012 in the Central Falls School System!

Head Start Program

The Children's Workshop in Central Falls and Providence have partnered with Head Start to offer additional resources and benefits to parents in the community. Click here to learn more about our partnership with Head Start and Children's Friend.

Community Partnerships

The Children's Workshop has collaborated with The American Cancer SocietyThe Ronald McDonald House of ProvidenceHasbro Children's Hospital, the Coins for Cures Program at Boston Children's HospitalProgresso Latino, and other local organizations to help those in need in our communities.  Our employees and families volunteer their time, donate clothing, supplies, and funds - whatever we can do to help others and give back to the people in the neighborhoods who over the past 20+ years have helped us grow.
