PROGRAMS
We utilize the "Creative Curriculum", a nationally recognized curriculum and approach to education that you will see in action in all our centers. Our age appropriate classrooms have distinct interest areas consisting of blocks, table toys, art, cooking, computers, library, dramatic play and outdoor play. These well-defined areas present clear activity choices to children and give them control over their time throughout the day. Play materials are on low shelves, in containers and on hooks so that they are easily reachable and children gain a sense of independence. Similar play materials, such as small blocks and large blocks, are grouped together to teach children to sort and classify – skills which are important to understanding and solving math problems. Lastly, pictures and words are used to labels shelves in the classroom. This helps the children understand where the play materials belong and also builds the foundation for reading readiness and letter recognition.
Each of our classrooms is designed to accommodate the unique developmental characteristics of the age group it services. The interest areas provide age appropriate challenges and opportunities, with materials and activities that reflect the interested of the children and incorporate the concepts and skills presented in the curriculum unit.
Our "Creative Curriculum" provides a strong foundation for children's academic success and our teachers provide a warm, nurturing environment in which every child can be successful. Children retain more when they're having fun, so our programs emphasize learning through play.
