WAREHAM - Bourne children in kindergarten through second grade chose to help A Helping Paw as part of their “We Are Kind” community aid project at the Children’s Workshop.

The children collected everything from towels to dog and cat toys and treats, and filled a very large box.

About 30 children participated, with the aid of their teacher Lauren DiGregorio.

Sue Moulton, A Helping Paw volunteer, went to the Children’s Workshop Nov. 30 to provide information on the shelter and how the children’s contributions will make an impact. After the assembly the children presented the box loaded with goodies for the pets.

A Helping Paw would like to thank the children for their support and efforts on behalf of homeless pets. The children did an amazing job and the pets will truly enjoy their gifts, A Helping Paw officials said.
