Child Care Connection Announces Pre-K Program

In response to the RI General Assembly's recently passed legislation that changes the age for incoming kindergartener's, Child Care Connection is excited to announce the September opening of it's newly created Pre-Kindergarten Program.

Currently, children are eligible for public Kindergarten if they are 5 years of age by Dec 31 of the school year. The new legislation states that children must be 5 years of age by September 1. This increase in age takes effect on January 1, 2004.

Child Care Connection's new Pre-Kindergarten program will be geared towards preparing 4 and 5 year-olds for success in Kindergarten. The program will feature a strong academic component, along with the learning through play approach for which Child Care Connection is grounded. This new program will focus on developing pre-math and pre-reading skills through the introduction of numbers and letter recognition.
