North Attleboro Children's Workshop Awarded National Accreditation

NORTH ATTLEBORO – The National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) has awarded accreditation to The Children's Workshop in North Attleboro. Less than 9 percent of early childhood programs nationwide achieve this prestigious recognition.

The Children's Workshop, located at 444 Kelley Blvd., currently cares for 21 infants, 22 toddlers, and 48 preschool, pre-kindergarten & kindergarten children. “We're so proud of our teachers and their commitment to this rigorous process,” said CEO Kevin Fusco, referring to the lengthy two-year accreditation process.

"Recognition from NAEYC confirms The Children's Workshop commitment to providing high quality care and learning for young children," said Sheila Dandeneau, the company's director of education. "Our warm, child-friendly, learning environments create an atmosphere where learning is truly child's play".

Centers accredited by NAEYC must demonstrate that they provide the following:
· A healthy, safe environment for children
· Developmentally appropriate curriculum
· Quality interaction among children and teachers
· Strong communication between parents and staff

NAEYC is the nation's largest non-profit organization for early childhood educators. Its accreditation program is a voluntary process for early childhood programs to improve and maintain the quality of early care and education throughout the country. Accreditation is a gradual process involving an in-depth self-study by center directors, parents and teachers.

The Children's Workshop is part of the Child Care Connection family of early learning centers. The company prides itself in providing their families with one of the best service levels in the child care industry and offers "The Creative Curriculum", a nationally recognized educational approach to teaching young children.

Child Care Connection was founded in 1991 as a company dedicated to providing high quality child care services. The company opened its first child care center in Lincoln, RI in 1991 and has grown to over 16 early learning centers throughout Rhode Island and Massachusetts.
