Child Care Connection Celebrates 13 Years!

Lincoln, RI – Child Care Connection celebrates 13 years of caring and educating young children today! The company was founded, in1990, by MaryAnn Shallcross Smith (a.k.a. Dr. Day Care) and Dave MacDonald.

Dave was looking for a way to help his employees who were having difficulty finding quality day care. After having their children, many of these mothers did not return to work. Dave had space within his building which he saw as an ideal location to add an on-site child care center. Mary Ann, who has a doctorate in Early Childhood Education, was managing her own home day care and was looking to expand her business. Together, Child Care Connection was created.

The Lincoln location opened it's doors with 18 children and quickly grew to 80 that following September. Within a year, it became obvious to both Dave and Mary Ann that there was a need for quality child care in Rhode Island. The company has grown through the development and acquisition of new centers.

Over the years, Child Care Connection has grown to 11 early learning centers throughout Rhode Island and Massachusetts. CCC prides itself in providing their families with high quality care and learning and offers "The Creative Curriculum", a nationally recognized educational approach to teaching young children. Child Care Connection is a company dedicated to providing high quality child care services to infants, toddlers, preschool, kindergarten and school age children.
