Child Care Connection Donates Funds To Playground In Memory of Three Children
Coventry, RI – Child Care Connection (CCC) is pleased to make a donation of $500 in memory of Zackary, Nicholas & Kaleigh Malo to their former elementary school. The Malo children passed away tragically in a house fire in December 2000. Prior to the tragedy, the children had been a bright and loving part of the Child Care Connection Early Learning Center in Scituate and are deeply missed. Blackrock Elementary School is using the funds towards the construction of their new playground. CCC was able to make this donation through funds raised in their annual Scholarship Fund Golf Tournament held each summer.
A plaque dedication ceremony is being held on Monday, May 19 at 10:00am at the Blackrock Elementary School in Coventry. Principal Susan Buckin, PTO President Diane Romano, Mary Ann Shallcross Smith, President of Child Care Connection and Kevin Fusco, CEO of Child Care Connection, are all expected to attend.
In addition to this donation, Child Care Connection's Golf Scholarship Fund is donating an additional $2500 in scholarships to neighboring high school students who are purusing careers in Early Childhood Education.
