New Child Care Connection Center Opens in Former Nursing Home Building Facility Will Serve Parents In Central Falls
Central Falls, RI – A new, 2 floor early learning center serving working parents in Central Falls was opened by Child Care Connection in January in the former Rose Cottage Nursing Center Building.
The 20,000 square foot facility at 151 Hunt Street will serve more than 200 children from preschool through 5th grade. The center features 7 individual preschool and 9 school age classrooms, an indoor gym, and 2 outdoor playgrounds, according to Kevin Fusco, CEO of Child Care Connection. The Deputy Director of the center is Keith Joseph, a childcare professional who formerly served as a Manager in Training at Child Care Connection's Lincoln center and also as Camp Director at the Riverside center. Joseph is a life-long resident of Central Falls.
A Ribbon Cutting Ceremony is being held at 10:00 am on Wednesday, April 16. Senator Daniel Issa, Central Falls Mayor Lee Matthews, and Secretary of State Matthew Brown are expected to attend, among other local town officials.
In addition to preschool and school age programs, Child Care Connection is working in conjunction with the Central Falls School Department to provide additional services to children and families in the community. These services include providing a preschool experience for children with special needs.
