At the Children's Workshop, we understand the day-to-day child care demands placed on today's busy families. We provide a truly quality early childhood education environment where children can feel safe, happy, confident, and proud of what they accomplish. We also offer flexible scheduling, back-up care, affordable rates, and convenient hours.

Our new location in Westborough, MA, opened on August 1, 2012. This school is centrally located just off Route 9 east, minutes from 495, Route 30 and Route 20 in the heart of the metro west - Westborough. We are open year round and Monday through Friday from 7:00am to 6:30pm. We care and educate infants, toddlers, preschool, and pre-K aged children at this school.

We utilize The Children's Workshop Curriculum, a framework we developed that draws inspiration from the Creative Curriculum and several states' Early Learning Standards, which you will see in action in all our centers. Children retain more when they're having fun so our programs emphasize learning through play. Our curriculum provides a strong foundation for children's academic success and our teachers provide a warm, nurturing environment in which every child can be successful. Each classroom and our playground have been specifically designed to provide age-appropriate challenges and opportunities. The environment is constructed to stimulate the child's imagination and to encourage active exploration and discovery.

Our experienced team of early childhood educators is committed to the unique development of each child. Each teacher has been carefully selected through an extensive interview and orientation process. All of our teachers receive ongoing classroom support, supervision and continuing education. Everyone on the staff is certified in early childhood health and safety, first aid, and CPR.

Our mission is to be the premier provider of quality early childhood education, continually striving to not only meet, but exceed, industry standards and parent expectations.

School Director

  • Andrea Fornara

Miss Andrea has been with The Children’s Workshop since November, 2014. Prior to joining TCW, she worked in the field of early childhood education on and off since 1992. In addition to working with young children, Miss Andrea has also worked in a substantially separate special needs middle school classroom, and taught high school English. It was during her time teaching high school that she came to the decision to return to teaching young children; realizing that providing a firm developmental and academic foundation was the best way to foster later school success. Miss Andrea brings with her a bachelor’s degree in management, and possesses a Massachusetts Early Education and Care Director II certification.

Miss Andrea is passionate about the field of early childhood education because, “there is no greater joy, than to witness and be part of a child’s evolution. Every child has special gifts to offer the world and my work allows me to help bring those gifts to light.”

On her own time, Miss Andrea enjoys travelling with her husband, spending time with her daughters and their families, as well as hiking, crafting, cooking, gardening, and sewing.
