Alison oversees our Riverside school as part of her role as Regional Director of School Age Programs. Alison oversees and supervises the daily operations of all the TCW school age programs, including our fantastic summer programs. She helps to ensure that our programs are safe, fun, nurturing, and a positive environment for children. Alison joined the TCW team in 2010 and has helped to redesign the school age curriculum, implement the PBIS initiative throughout all our locations, and partnered with great organizations such as the Girl Scouts of America and Mastery Martial Arts to bring exciting activities into our school Age programs. Additionally, she is the co-founder of the TCW Mentoring Program at Central Falls High School and is also very active in our communities, serving as a co-chair of both the Central Falls Prevention Coalition and the Pawtucket/Central Falls After School Coalition. Alison is also a member of RIASPA (the RI After School Plus Alliance) and MAP (the Massachusetts Afterschool Partnership).
Alison attended Assumption College where she earned a Bachelor’s in Social Rehabilitation and minored in Education. She has over 10 years of experience in the education field, in both special education and before and after school care and is also a certified school age and preschool teacher. Her favorite part of her job is seeing children grow throughout our programs and all the little rewards she experiences throughout the day including learning something new, an unexpected hug, or a happy parent. When not working, she enjoys spending time with her husband, adorable daughter Penelope, family and friends, ding crafts or hands-on projects around the house, and going to new places or the beach!
Please stop by Riverside and say hello to Miss Alison! She's love to give you a tour of our great facility!
