The Children's Workshop's Mentoring Program is gaining momentum! We are very excited to launch our program this fall in the Central Falls school system. We...
Our custom built Providence facility welcomes infants, toddlers, preschoolers, pre-k, kindergarten, and school age children. We are open from 6:30am to 6:00pm, Monday through Friday, to fit the needs of our busy families. Our center includes bright, developmentally appropriate, fun classrooms and large outdoor playgrounds which are accessible directly from the classrooms. As you will see our Providence location was designed with young children in mind!
We utilize The Children’s Workshop Curriculum, a framework we developed that draws inspiration from Creative Curriculum and the Rhode Island Early Learning Standards which you will see in action in all our centers. Children retain more when they're having fun so our programs emphasize learning through play. Our curriculum provides a strong foundation for children's academic success and our teachers provide a warm, nurturing environment in which every child can be successful.
We invite you to visit our new location. We'd love to give you and your family a tour. For more information or to schedule a visit, please call us at 401-383-9958.
|Programs Offered at Providence:|
Hi! My name is Julie and I am the Director at The Children's Workshop in Providence. I have been working at the Children's Workshop in Providence since the center opened in February 2008. I was originally the Pre-Kindergarten Lead Teacher, before taking on an administrative role, first as the Assistant Director and now as the Acting Director. Prior to joining the TCW team, I taught first grade for two years, at The Learning Community Charter School in Central Falls. I attended Boston University, and have a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology and a Master's Degree in Elementary Education. I am currently taking additional classes in Early Childhood Education.
My favorite part about working with children is tracking their growth and development, especially with regard to language and literacy. In my free time, I enjoy playing violin, cooking, kayaking, travelling, and spending time with my family.
I love this place!!
I LOVE THIS PLACE!!!!!! TCW is a wonderful environment. The staff is friendly and caring and I am so pleased with the care that my granddaughter receives. I can't name just one staff person because Ithink that everyone is great. Also, every time I go to the center someone is saying, "hello, how are you, good afternoon..." I always receive a nice greeting from the staff. My granddaughter is very happy at TCW. The Children's Workshop founder made a great investment in the future of our country when he opened this center!"~Marleni Hawk
