Benefits and Conveniences

The school is conveniently located just minutes off Route 4, near the Home Depot, Stop & Shop, and the Wickford Junction commuter train station. We are open Monday through Friday from 6:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. to fit the needs of busy families. Our building includes bright, developmentally appropriate, fun classrooms, and a great outdoor playground.

Our Effective Curriculum

We utilize The Children's Workshop Curriculum, a nationally accredited framework that draws inspiration from Creative Curriculum and the Rhode Island Early Learning Standards. Because children retain more information when they're having fun, our programs emphasize learning through play. Our curriculum provides a strong foundation for children's academic success both now and in the future.

Not only does The Children’s Workshop provide a nationally recognized curriculum, but we also offer a warm, nurturing environment, and an opportunity for every child to receive a quality education.

School Director

  • Leigh Wolpensinger

Hello, my name is Ms. Leigh and I am the Director at our North Kingstown school! I currently hold my Bachelor's degree in Liberal Studies with an Art concentration, as well as my Master's degree in Early Childhood and Elementary Education. I received my educator degrees in New York and received reciprocity from Rhode Island in 2014.

I grew up in Long Island, NY and moved to RI with my husband five years ago. I have two children, Ben and Faye, who also attend TCW North Kingstown. In my spare time I like to travel, go to the beach, garden, do DIY projects around the house, and spend time with my family.

I am passionate about working with young children. There is no greater joy than to watch the growth and development of a child and to help support and assist them in accomplishing their goals. As an educator, my goal is to pave the foundation for my students to become successful, confident, and enthusiastic lifelong learners! Stop by TCW North Kingstown and I can give you a tour of our wonderful facility!
