The Children's Workshop's Mentoring Program is gaining momentum! We are very excited to launch our program this fall in the Central Falls school system. We...
The Children's Workshop in Lincoln offers high quality child care and learning for infants, toddlers, preschool, pre-Kindergarten and school-age children. Our "surround care" program also offers care for school-aged children before and after school and a full day program for school vacations, summer vacation, holidays and school closings. We also provide transportation to and from Lincoln and Cumberland schools!
The center is located in the business park between the Lincoln Mall and Lincoln High School, behind Amica Insurance. Our building includes bright, developmentally appropriate classrooms and large outdoor playgrounds. We also offer the Itty Bitty Sports program and KinderDance weekly.
We offer affordable rates, convenient hours and a great location minutes off all major highways. In addition, we utilize a nationally recognized curriculum and approach to education that you will see in action in all our centers, which provides a strong foundation for children's academic success. Our teachers provide a warm, nurturing environment in which every child can be successful. Children retain more when they're having fun so our programs emphasize learning through play.
Our center is open from 6:30am to 6pm and tuition includes breakfast, hot lunch, daily snack and beverages, as well as formula for infants. We invite you to visit our center. We'd love to give you and your family a tour. For more information or to schedule a visit, please call us at 401-334-2210.

Heather GrocottHi! My name is Heather Grocott, Director of The Children's Workshop here in Lincoln, RI. I first started my journey with the TCW family in 2007 in our Smithfield location as a Kindergarten teacher. I then entered the company's Management in Training Program, working in several of our locations while also training staff in various areas of early childhood education. I made my home in Lincoln in February of 2010 as the Education Coordinator of the site. I am both proud and excited to now serve as the Director of the very first TCW ever established!
I hold a BA from Providence College in Elementary and Special Education. I am currently pursuing a Master's Degree from Rhode Island College in Early Childhood education. My true passion is not only working with children, but sharing knowledge with families and teachers in order to provide the best early learning experience for all young learners.
In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my family, cooking, the beach, and teaching dance.
Please stop by and visit our Lincoln site at any time! I look forward to meeting you!

For making my son’s life better, more enjoyable, and easier…I thank you and Miss Lisa for having such a great impact on his life.
I just wanted to let the entire company know what a tremendous teacher you have at the Lincoln campus. My son has been going to the Children’s Workshop Lincoln Campus since he was about nine months old. He will soon be four and his current teacher Miss Lisa is and has been the best by far. She is absolutely wonderful and my son is so happy to go to daycare each and every day. He has had some behavioral problems in the past and has had some difficulty adjusting to new teachers and new classrooms. Miss Lisa took away all his fears and I can only hope that she is acknowledged for truly making an impact in my sons life. I wish every teacher had an open mind and heart when it comes to kids that have a little extra zest for life like my son does and Miss Lisa has that quality. I can never thank the Children’s Workshop enough for having such an amazing teacher present.
For making my son’s life better, more enjoyable, and easier…I thank you and Miss Lisa for having such a great impact on his life.
Sincerely, Amanda C.
