Our CDA Program
We are pleased to announce our new CDA program! We will provide training and support for employees who want to earn their Child Development Associate (CDA). Training will be provided over a 15-week course through weekly 2-hour professional development trainings at no cost to our employees. (This will earn you 30 of your required 120 hours.) Coordinated through our Education Department, this "first-of-a-kind" program brings in-house the same courses that you would find on campus at any Early Childhood Development program.
The CDA credential is awarded to those individuals who have demonstrated "core knowledge" in six competency areas. Through the assessment process, a candidate must demonstrate competence in his/her ability to meet the specific needs of children, and work with parents and other adults to nurture children's physical, social, emotional, and intellectual growth in a child development framework. Our in-house program provides all the preparation and coursework needed.
