    Catherine McGuiggin

Hi!  My name is Catherine and I am the director of the amazing Children's Workshop located in Waltham, Massachusetts!

I began working for The Children's Workshop in August 2010.  My roots are from Scituate, MA where I was born and grew up.  I later attended the University of Rochester, in Rochester, NY and received a degree in Geology and Secondary Education as well as a teaching certificate in Earth Science/General Science.  After teaching high school I wanted to broaden my field knowledge in education so I returned to school and continued studies in Early Childhood Education at St. Petersburg College in Clearwater, FL.  I have been working in the field of Early Childhood Education since 1990, and have had the pleasure of being the Director of three separate centers.  My most recent experience before coming to work for The Children's Workshop was directing a center in Millis, MA for ten years.

I enjoy working with children of every age and watching them learn and grow.  My favorite part of any day is when a child tells me, "You know what Miss Catherine...."  When I retire I will publish the best seller entitled "Famous Quotes of Amazing Children."  When I am not at The Children's Workshop I am spending time with my two children, Keegan and Macy.  We enjoy spending time outdoors, with family, and at the beach.

Please stop by and visit our beautiful Waltham location - our teachers are the best around and we cannot wait to welcome you to the TCW family!

    Kelly Fenton

I have years of experience working with children in various educational settings including early childhood classrooms, after-school programs and at the Providence Children’s Museum. My Bachelor’s degree is in Psychology and I also have a Master’s degree in Education. I love facilitating creativity and learning in people of all ages.

A step into any one of our 6 classrooms and you may discover children with fingers dipped in colorful finger paint, teachers reading captivating stories, children building with blocks and friends interacting. All of our classrooms encourage learning (we use the Creative Curriculum where children learn through play), sharing, growing and fun. Children simply thrive here.

My favorite part of my job is working with children and their families as well as teachers to provide a safe, stimulating and caring environment where all children can learn. I also teach movement classes to adults and love doing yoga, being outside (when it’s warm), cooking and gardening.

Please stop by our North Kingstown Center any time, I guarantee that you will be impressed!
